Club membership renewals 2020 / 2021

March 15th, 2020

Dear member.  As per recent email and Facebook notices, your Club membership is due for renewal for the 2020 / 2021 season on March 31st. This includes the Scottish Amateur Swimming Association (SASA) membership and the West District affiliation fees.

If you intend to swim again this season, your payment was due by Friday March 13th into the Club’s main account (the same account you pay your monthly fees into). The payment reference should be the swimmer’s surname, initial, SASA eg ‘Bloggs J SASA’. The cost for a single swimmer is £55; subsequent swimmers £45.  The membership fee scale thoughout the year is shown on the table on the Swimming Membership page.

If you don’t intend to renew again this year, it’s is important that you let us know.

If you have received this email in error, please accept our apologies and let us know.
This mailing list has by necessity been created from our current 2019 / 2020 Scottish Swimming membership list.

Best regards

Steven Horn
Club Secretary
On behalf of RASC Management Committee

Saturday’s Clyde Coast 7th March 2020

March 5th, 2020

Important Info:

Kilmarnock are hosting this round details of times & location are as follows:

Galleon Centre

99 Titchfield St,

Kilmarnock

KA1 1QY

Warm up is at 1pm, with events due to start at 1.30pm.

There is no team bus for this event so you need to make your own way to Kilmarnock. Ideally we would ask that swimmers aim to be at the Galleon between 12.30 – 12.45 at the very latest.

It is expected that event will be finished by around 4pm.

As with all meets we need to provide a minimum of 2 Time Keepers, so if you are available to support please let me know.

We will have 2 parent volunteers acting as Team Managers on Saturday. They wlll ensure they are poolside ahead of 12.30pm to secure a seating area for our swimmers. So as soon as you arrive please head poolside & look for the usual Rutherglen t shirts.

We will have clyde coast t shirts for all swimmers to wear poolside – these will be handed out on the day & collected back in at the end.

On a final note Kilmarnock have advised that there will be a small entry fee for spectators.

Any other questions please just ask & look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.

Confirmed Entries for East Kilbride Graded and Age Group Meets

February 13th, 2020

Please see the confirmed entries for each event in the calendar.

If you are new to entering competitions you may see SCR next to your childs name. This means that they have been Scratched. They will no longer be competing in this event and our treasurer will organise a refund.

ALT (or RES) next to your childs name means that they are an Alternative (or Reserve). They are a reserve for the swim and they may get the swim if another swimmer pulls out and withdraws but they also may not get their swim. Normally the coach on poolside can let the swimmers know if they have their swim after the warm up, when the start sheets becomes available as withdrawals are handed in by coaches during the warm up.

Please refer to the Swimming Glosssary page for these and more definitions.
