Clyde Coast R2 Thank You!

April 20th, 2015    Posted in General News

A huge thank you to everybody for their help with running the Mini League yesterday. The gala seemed to go well, plenty of noise from the gallery and the snack bags afterwards much enjoyed by all.

Special thanks to all those (you know who you are) who gave up their afternoon despite not having any kids swimming today as well as to Thea & Sophie, Ethan, Louise, Johann & Olivia for being helpers and Rebecca for taking on the task of recording the results with Mike.

Final scores were -
City of Glasgow: 176
Dumfries: 147
Rutherglen: 137

A hard fought match with Rutherglen and Dumfries neck and neck most of the way, only just behind City of Glasgow.
A special note of thanks to our entries secretary Mike Maxwell who put in a huge effort behind the scenes both in the planning and on the day.

CLYDE COAST Round 2 Larkhall, 19/4/2015: Coach’s Message

April 20th, 2015    Posted in General News

Looking through my notes and unofficial times of todays meet I can hardly see a swim that was not faster than the same swim in the last round.

That to me is a great performance and well done to everybody who took part today.

It was a fairly close Gala and we were beaten by two better teams on the day. When you think that these were the top two teams last year that’s pretty good.

COG 176

DUMFRIES 147

RUTHERGLEN 137

In the next round we really do have to be at our best, because winning the round may not enough to ensure the A Final at AYR,  we need maximum points as well.

Thanks for all the Parents and Coaches who helped the running and hosting of our Round.

Lindsay
