What a great weekend at Cumbernauld! It is hard to measure how well the Club and swimmers did.
Some clubs were elsewhere, however, South and North Ayrshire Ren96 and Cumbernauld were there along with Belshill.
Golds from Molly Young, Louise Bradley 2 and Ross Lelie 3
Silvers from Molly Young, Sophie Bestwick, Hazel Leslie
Bronze from Johann Fawcett 2 , Louise Bradley, Hazel Leslie
33 scoring swims with a points total of 117, last year we scored 112 and 72 in 2011. And that’s after losing swimmers.

Congratulations to the Six Rutherglen swimmers who qualified for the 2013 District Regional Squad programme.
If you analyse the number of swimmers qualifying from each Club and remember that two of those at East Kilbride were with Rutherglen, both of whom qualified originally with Rutherglen, and, we had at least 1 other swimmer who qualified who is still too young to take part. Further all our swimmers were developed by us and not transfers from other clubs, that would put us in the top two of clubs in the District.
I think that is another great achievement and a big pat on the back all round to Swimmers, Coaches and Committee and Parents. I still think there are several other swimmers who should have also been there, so more to work on for next year for everyone.
Congratulations to all the 20 swimmers who entered and were accepted for this event. The entry was slightly down on last year, but more individual swims and there were also 4 rejections. There were 22 swimmers entered last year and no rejections as the meet was not over subscribed.
All our relays were accepted so we have in one Age group, an A, B and C Team!
Keep up the training many of you could do very well if you continue as you have worked over the summer.

AYR CITADEL 31st August 2013 – 1st September 2013
We intend to enter as many Relay Teams in the West District Sprints as we can. The current Team selections are below (please click on link attachment). If you name is not highlighted in yellow, you need to speak to me a.s.a.p. I am expecting all swimmers who have already entered individual events to swim in the relays, they are highlighted in yellow or pink. However, some of the Swimmers listed (not highlighted) do not have qualifying times for individual events. For swimmers who have never swam at the Districts, the chance of swimming in a Relay is a fantastic opportunity and invaluable experience before the time you do have an individual event. I need to know and be sure that every swimmer is available for the relays. Without everybody, our relay squads will be weakened and in some cases will not happen at all. It is really important that you turn up because some swimmers will go just for the relay and may not get a swim if team mates let them down.
