We were sorry to hear recently that Andy Figgins’ wife, Elaine, passed away. Many of our swimmers, past and present, will know Andy as not only head coach of East Kilbride Swimming Club, but also his input for the South Lanarkshire swimming team at national events. Sadly for Andy and his family, on the day following Elaine’s death, Elaine’s mother passed away as well.
We have conveyed our condolences to Andy on behalf of Rutherglen Amateur Swimming Club.
