The Denny Sessions

The current block of Denny Sessions are now finished and a big thank you to everyone who attended and made them one of the most enjoyable sessions to coach. I personally saw a big improvement in everyone, particularly those who listened and tried to put in practise what I was developing, not only at Denny, but at all their squad sessions.

This last block was aimed at 12 years and under swimmers. There is just one more session at Stirling on the 3^rd March 2012, 18.00-20.00 – only for those who attended Denny.

Please note the first round of the Clyde Coast League is this Sunday 26^th February.

2nd / 3rd & 4th March 2012 – TRAINING WEEKEND

Weekend  2^nd / 3^rd & 4^th March 2012 will be a designated “Training Weekend”.  The sessions will be as they are, so all two hour sessions are 2 hours, no variation. If you plan to get out early don’t come at all.

For the District Squad there are two extra sessions, one at Denny High School and one at Stirling 50m Pool. This is partly to help prepare those who have qualified for the Scottish National Age groups at Sunderland, but also for other swimmers to help achieve their targets set and to gain DRP times.

Both sessions at Stirling I intend to Video, above and below the water.

The session at Stirling on Saturday evening is only for the Denny Squad and is a bonus to all those who have attended the Denny programme and there is no additional charge. Any swimmer 12 and under in Bronze Silver and Gold can go that do not normally go to Denny, cost £5.

There is no additional cost for any of the extra sessions for the District Squad either. However, I am currently preparing plans for a restructure of the Squads. I will be looking at swimmers attendance and commitment so swimmers in the District Squad are expected to go and I will be disappointed if those who do not tell me prior do not attend.

The programme for the Training weekend as will be as follows. Although I have listed the Coaches I hope to get a full compliment of Coaches for all the sessions.
