Could all swimmers please treat the changing rooms and pool staff with respect. There was an incident involving purple soft drinks in the changing room last night which lead to a significant clean up job by the pool staff. Please note behaviour of this kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated by the club. It could also result in a ban from the pool itself which would make club membership untenable for the individual concerned.
Could all swimmers and parents also please note that whilst the club has a duty of care for the swimmers are in the pool area, this does not extend to the cafe, reception area and particularly the external grounds of the pool, therefore members and parents should be aware that while attending their particular training session swimmers must remain in the pool area under the supervision of the coaching team. Swimmers and parents should note that swimmers staying around the cafe, reception area and external grounds outwith their designated training sessions and outwith the supervision of the coaching team do so outwith the duty of care of the club. Whilst understanding the complexities, travel arrangements etc of having multiple swimmers in different sessions, we would discourage this where possible and at least remind parents of their responsibility to ensure their children safely make their way to and from training sessions and behave properly in and around the building.
Please read and understand the code of conduct displayed on the club notice board at the pool or download it here
